Blake Lively finally spoke out after the judge’s game-changing ruling in her case filed against It Ends with Us costar, Justin Baldoni case.
For the unversed, Lively’s major claims against Baldoni were recently dismissed by Judge Lewis Liman.
Now, while reacting to it, Sigrid McCawley, a member of the Gossip Girl alum's legal team, told the Daily Mail, "This case has always been and will remain focused on the devastating retaliation and the extraordinary steps the defendants took to destroy Blake Lively's reputation because she stood up for safety on the set and that is the case that is going to trial."
For Lively, as per the statement, the greatest measure of justice is that the people and the playbook behind these coordinated digital attacks have been exposed.
According to the statement, such people are already being held accountable by other women they've targeted.
The Another Simple Favor star would look forward to testifying at trial and continue to shine a light on this vicious form of online retaliation so that it becomes easier to detect and fight, the text added.
Her legal team concluded, "Sexual harassment isn't going forward not because the defendants did nothing wrong but because the court determined Blake Lively was an independent contractor, not an employee."
On Thursday, April 2, a U.S. federal judge scrapped 10 of 13 claims in Blake Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.
These dismissed claims included allegations of sexual harassment, defamation, and federal employment.
It’s worth mentioning here that a trial is scheduled to start on May 18, 2026.
