Prince Harry surprised Meghan Markle with a phone call while appearing on Masterchef Australia, delighting her mood.
For those unaware, the Duchess of Sussex made an unforgetabble appearance as a guest judge on the Australian edition of the popular cooking competition.
Notably, the 44-year- old was revealed as the “mystery guest judge” to all the contestants who would come in place of Andy Allen as he went on paternity leave.
Meghan’s appearance shocked everyone, with one chef saying, “Who would have thought you come on here to make a roll, and you get to meet the Duchess of Sussex?”
During the show, a surprise phone call by Prince Harry caused interruption while judges were busy reviewing the dishes.
“Hi my love!” Meghan said to the phone camera, telling the crew: “My husband’s here.” After introducing the royal to the contestants, Prince Harry stated, “Have I interrupted something important?”
Meghan further introduced the “four incredible cooks” and their “amazing” dishes, singling out one of their homemade sambals before cracking a joking: “I think it might be too much for you, though! Too spicy.”
While adding to the conversation, the Duke of Sussex praised the show’s team’s commitment and effort, with Harry wrapping up the conversation, saying, “That you guys have. Wonderful.”
He ended the call by saying to his wife, “Enjoy it! Very sorry to disturb you.” After the call ended, Meghan lovingly called her husband “a charmer”.
Meghan opens up about family food preferences
During the episode, Meghan also shared insights into her family's eating habits. She also revealed that cooking at home means balancing different tastes, explaining that Prince Harry enjoys hearty meals featuring meat, potatoes, and cream sauces, while she prefers fish, grilled meats, and citrus flavors.
She also surprised the judges with a shocking revelation of their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, food preferences, stating they are big fans of Brussels sprouts.
