Brad Pitt has made a tough call to show solidarity with his kids after they made a heartbreaking decision.
Amidst the family dynamics, the Fight Club actor’s four kids out of six, including Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, and Vivienne, have officially filed or completed legal petitions to drop "Pitt" from their last names.
After weeks of rumours about Brad's reaction, the actor himself responded to his children’s decision, expressing solidarity as the emotional dad tried to weather the family storm.
On Tuesday, July 28th, the Academy Award-winning star revealed in a press conference that he fully "understands" why two of his biological kids and the other adopted ones wanted to drop his surname.
"And if they don’t want it, neither do I," the heartbroken father said, before he continued, "I want them to know that I stand with them as they bravely turn the page on the hell I put them through."
The sources present at the press conference shared that Brad was "clearly" annoyed after learning his kids "do not want his name, as the actor bashed them, saying, "So when they decide that being associated with me is just an unacceptable way to live the rest of their lives."
Angelina Jolie's former husband also extended his "100 %” support for Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox and Vivienne’s decision and their name change to prove it, saying, "That’s what being a dad’s all about."
This statement marked Brad Pitt's first after his four kids published their legal appeal in a newspaper to remove "Pitt" from their names.

The F1 star - who finalised his divorce with the Salt actress in December 2024 has remained silent over the matter until Monday this week as he was getting "space" to avoid the drama with his former wife and kids.
On the same day he reacted to his kids' decision, Brad was seen spending quality time with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, whom he has been dating since November 2022, in Carmel Highlands.
During his fresh sighting, the actor was seen unbothered by the escalating family differences with his kids, who have been estranged from their dad after an infamous altercation on a private plane that led his former wife to file for divorce.
