Dolly Parton has lost her sibling, Coy Denver Parton, who passed away at the age of 82.

The popstar's elder brother – who was a crane operator breathed his last on Thursday, July 23rd, as announced by Atchley Funeral Home on Monday, July 27th. 

In a heartbreaking statement, the funeral organisers revealed that Denver was surrounded by his family members at the time of his death. 

However, the cause of his death has been undisclosed due to the privacy of the singer's brother's family.

He spent his last days alongside his daughters Chris and Jennifer, his grandson, Ian Parton and fiancée Taylor York; brother, Bobby Parton; sisters, Willadeene Buzzeo, Dolly Parton, Stella Parton; Cassie Griffith (Greg), Freida Parton, Rachel George (Eric), Laura Price (David); sister-in-law, Kay Parton.

According to the Atchley Funeral Home, the deceased person had already lost several close family members before his own death.

The list of his late family members includes his wife, Carolyn Parton; his father, Lee Parton; his mother, Avie Lee Owens Parton; Larry Parton; older brother, David Parton; Randy and Floyd Parton; niece, Tever Parton; brothers-in-law, Carl Dean and Ray Buzzeo.

Notably, the announcement about his funeral will be made sometime in the future.

Speaking about his death, Dolly Parton’s sister Stella Parton posted a heartbreaking statement for her late sibling, stating, "My brother Denver was a deeply private person."

She continued, explaining, "I appreciate the kind messages and expressions of condolences on behalf of my nieces Chris and Jennifer, and the rest of my family." 

Fans pour in tribute for Dolly Parton's brother 

As the news of Denver's death broke, several fans began supporting Dolly Parton, with one X user commenting, "@dollyparton So very sorry for your loss." 

"MST, he RIP. I’m so sorry for their loss. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends," another sent condolences.

A third said, "I am so sorry; after a while you will remember all the good times." 

Coy Denver Parton is not Dolly Parton's first family member she has lost; so far, she has lost five siblings and her husband, Carl Dean, whose death she announced in March last year.
