Blake Lively has come forward in her husband, Ryan Reynolds support as his Deadpool 4 announcement sparked a backlash.
During a panel discussion at Fanatics Fest 2026 on July 20, the Red Notice actor announced a new Deadpool movie, nearly two years after his smashing hit, Deadpool & Wolverine.
Opening up about the fourth installation of the Deadpool franchise, Blake’s husband said, “There's a few really deep cuts that I think are missing from the movies."
He continued, "I think there's a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics,” he added.
"There's stuff upcoming, there's eventually, you know, remotely another Deadpool film. It's going to be great,” added Ryan.
However, Ryan’s announcement garnered mixed reactions with many netizens outright rejecting the idea of a new Deadpool film, telling Ryan, “nobody asked for this”
While others clearly stating that they won’t watch the Marvel movie – all thanks to the controversial sexual harassment lawsuit his wife filed against Justin Baldoni.
Amid the chaos, Blake – who is known for simping over her husband in gushing social media posts, turned to her Instagram account to share a photo with her son (his face covered with a book) as they face timed with Ryan.
The photo was accompanied by a sweet caption, “When you're reading a Captain America book and you get interrupted by a FaceTime from Dad”
While in the next story, she reshared a video from Ryan’s Instagram account featuring The Proposal actor dressed meeting fans at the Comic Con dressed as Deapool.
“My kinda lol surprise” wrote the Age of Adaline actress in the caption of the video.
The video shared by Ryan was accompanied by a heartfelt caption, which read, "Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine, I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world."
"No handlers, no security, no ropes. WHAT A GIFT. Thanks to everyone I met, who aren’t only cosplaying but world-building. And also… actual Sergeant Slaughter!" added Ryan.
