More than a decade ago, the Jolene hitmaker had a Q&A with Entertainment Weekly in May 2024, during which she revealed that she wishes for a special song to be played at her funeral after her demise.
The iconic artist shared that she wanted the gospel hymn If We Never Meet Again by Albert E. Brumley to be sung at her funeral.
Parton continued, “That was my daddy’s favorite. We did sing it at his funeral, and I would like it to be sung at mine.”
