Dolly Parton’s funeral is already being planned with A-list pop icons including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé in talks for a massive tribute.
The legendary singer and songwriter left the world mourning on Tuesday, August 25, at the age of 80, just a few days after she expressed her desire to achieve many more things in life.
Her death news was announced in an Instagram video by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, who after introducing himself as the son of Dolly’s sister Cassie Parton noted, “I’m representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt, Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, Sister, Sis and Granny to one generation and Gigi to the next.”
Soon after the tragic news was shared, celebrities including music artists like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Eminem and more started pouring in heartfelt tribute for Dolly Parton while mourning her tragic death.
Now, inside sources have spilled details into the Jolene hitmaker’s funeral plans claiming that it is likely to bring in singers like Miley, Taylor and Beyoncé for a historic tribute.
“Everyone wants to be part of this,” an insider told Naughty But Nice.
“Taylor, Miley, Beyoncé — Dolly crossed every genre and every generation. This could become one of the biggest musical tributes of all time,” they added.
The source further claimed that “There are very few artists who could bring Taylor, Miley and Beyoncé together, Dolly is one of them. She was loved by everyone.”
According to the sources, Dolly Parton’s close circle is planning a small, intimate ceremony in Nashville away from the spotlight.
However, any details on a grand public funeral – which will include tributes from music industry icons have not been revealed yet.
The Used To Be Young songstress has not broken her silence on Dolly's death - who was her godmother.
However, Taylor has reacted to her death in an emotional statement obtained by various outlets.
“A world without Dolly doesn’t feel possible, real, or right, but because of the eternally generous way she spent her time on this earth and the countless lives she changed for the better, her legacy will be an everlasting one.”
The 14-time Grammy winner went on, “Dolly gave us someone to look up to while encouraging us to be who we are as individuals. Somehow she was able to give us her lessons about the world gently and honestly, simultaneously, and oftentimes hilariously.”
“She managed to give the world the ultimate mystery and fantasy in some corners of her life, but to give full transparency in the ways that counted,” she added.
