Prince Harry’s team has released a heartfelt message on behalf of The Duke of Sussex as he seemingly joined King Charles to mark a rare occasion.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, shortly after Harry touched down in the UK with wife Meghan Markle and kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the official Instagram account of The Invictus Foundation marked International Dog Day with a gushing tribute.
Sharing photos of the fury creatures – who played a significant role in Harry’s Invictus Games events throughout the years, the foundation shared a message on behalf of their founder acknowledging their loyalty.
“Happy International Dog Day to some of the most loyal members of the Invictus Community” read the message.
It continued, “From therapy and assistance dogs to the companions who are there through the difficult days, dogs can play an important role in the recovery journeys of service personnel and veterans.”
Before concluding, the foundation – which Harry established in 2014, added, “It is always a delight to see them at the #InvictusGames spread so much joy and healing.”
Harry's message came shortly after Royal Family's official Instagram account marked the International Dog Day with a special reel featuring moments of senior Royals' with dogs.
"A round of a-paws for our four-legged friends, because today is International Dog Day!" read the caption alongside the charming video, which also featured King's cute encounters.
"From Medical Detection Dogs and Guide Dogs, to dogs on the set of ‘Rivals’ and in the gardens of Buckingham Palace and Holyroodhouse…Here are just a few of the many wagging tails we’ve met on Royal visits this year" it added.
