AI device maker Plaud has announced the Plaud One Explorer Edition, a new pair of smart earbuds that help people automatically capture conversations and handle tasks.
Unlike standard audio gear, the device records phone calls, online meetings and live face-to-face chats without needing a smartphone nearby.
No phone needed thanks to built-in eSIM
The biggest upgrade in the Plaud One is its smart charging case. It features an embedded eSIM with 4G LTE connectivity that connects directly to the internet.
This allows the device to upload audio recordings straight to the cloud for real-time transcription and summary generation. Users can wear the earbuds or simply place the box-shaped case in the center of a table to record group discussions.
Smart AI that turns words into action
The earbuds link directly to the updated Plaud Intelligence system to complete everyday office tasks. Through built-in tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, the system turns spoken promises into actual schedules or written reports.
Plaud co-founder and Chief Executive Nathan Xu explained that “AI agents become truly useful when they understand the context in which human intent is formed,” adding that “that context lives in conversation.”
Price and availability
Pre-orders for the $249.99 Plaud One Explorer Edition are now open with devices expected to ship later in the fall. Each purchase includes $200 in complimentary Plaud credits to run the device’s advanced AI features.
