Chappell Roan had a great day performing at Olivia Rodrigo’s charitable music festival.
The Casual singer took to her official Instagram account on Sunday, August 31, to send a special gratitude message to the 23-year-old American singer after performing at the Daisy Chain Fields Festival over the weekend.
In the message, Roan thanked the Traitor singer for inspiring her and helping her live out her “fifth element fantasy.”
For those unfamiliar, The Fifth Element in a 1997 sci-fi movie known for its futuristic world, unusual fashion, bright colors, and distinctive costumes.
At the event, the Red Wine Supernova songstress created a version of the stewardess looks from the hit film.
The iconic costume appeared in the film for only a short time, seen only in the Fhloston Paradise boarding scene.
Roan wore a futuristic cropped top and mini skirt, paired with shiny purple knee-high boots and completed the look by debuting a ginger bob wig, giving a clear nod to the iconic style of The Fifth Element.
“Thank you for having me @daisychainfields ! @oliviarodrigo u r so inspiring in so many ways. We need artists like u who use their platform for good and are such a light in the world. Thank you for being you and supporting artists like me , u have changed my life in so many ways <3,” she penned in the message.
The singer added, “It felt so good to perform again, I didn’t realize how much I missed it. Really lived out my fifth element fantasy. also wearing my viva glam lipstick in shade Roan of arc.”

Launched by Olivia Rodrigo this year, Daisy Chain Fields is a charitable American music festival held at Great Park in Irvine, California.
It featured performances by Bikini Kill, the Breeders, Chappell Roan, Devon Again, Die Spitz, Doechii, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not for Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santigold, and Rodrigo herself (with special guests Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks).
The event generated $20 million for charitable causes supporting women.
