D4vd is set to return to the court as the murder case officially moved toward trial.
On Monday, August 31st, ABC magazine reported that the controversial rapper is expected to make a major appearance in the Los Angeles court today to face the charges alleging he murdered a teenage girl.
According to insiders close to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, the trial is expected to take place within 90 days of Monday's arraignment.
During the court appearance, the Romantic Homicide hitmaker will face the allegations by the prosecutors that the hip-hop mogul has reportedly killed the 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
For those new to the room, D4vd has been behind bars since the teenage girl was missing and was horrifically killed last year.
Why D4vd was arrested in connection of Celeste Rivas Fernandes case?
The prosecutors said the rapper and the murdered girl began a sexual relationship in 2023, when he was 18, and she was 13.
D4vd seemingly murdered Celeste after she had given threats to the rapper to expose their illegal relationship to ruin his career.
A spine-chilling murder plot
However, to protect his reputation, the 21-year-old American songwriter plotted a murder against his former partner.
Just as tickets for his world tour were set to go on sale, it is alleged that the singer ordered an Uber that brought Rivas Hernandez to his Hollywood Hills home on April 23, 2025, prosecutors said.
That was the last time she was seen alive, according to prosecutors.
D4vd also faced allegations that he had stabbed the teen multiple times, watched her bleed out, and then got rid of evidence.
However, her badly decomposed body remains were found in two bags in the front trunk of his abandoned Tesla in September 2025.
Last case hearing
This update came after the recent court hearing in July; some of the evidence was presented in the court, alleging, "D4vd allegedly squandered his fame and fortune by brutally killing a young girl because he feared their illicit sexual relationship would ruin his aspiring career."
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said following the preliminary hearing, "The only headlines that will accompany his stage name from here forward will be about the vicious murder of a young girl."
However, Dv4d's legal team has been asked to show the actual evidence to prove the innocence of their client.
