Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds put on a united front during their first public outing in New York City since a judge ordered Lively to pay a substantial sum to Justin Baldoni.
On Friday, the Gossip Girl star enjoyed a family outing with the Deadpool star, 49, and her sister Robyn, 54, in New York.
For the family outing, Lively chose to serve looks in an all-brown ensemble while Robyn, seen wearing double denim, walked behind the star as she chatted to Reynolds.
Reynolds kept a serious look as Lively smiled during the outing.
The family stepped out shortly after it was reported that Lively would receive far less in legal fees than she had sought from Baldoni.
On Wednesday, a judge awarded Lively only 5% of the $8 million she sought in legal fees for defending against Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit.
According to the judge, Lively’s lawyers billed an “unreasonable” number of hours, while her expense claims contained “discrepancies.”
The court decision follows the dismissal of most of Lively’s claims against her It Ends With Us co-star, with the case eventually settled without a monetary payment.
Although Liman rejected Baldoni’s defamation countersuit, he ruled that Lively could seek legal costs associated with fighting that action.
An order obtained by the Daily Mail showed that Judge Liman granting Lively $363,245.40 in attorneys’ fees and $44,206.35 in costs.
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios alleging sexual harassment and defamation.
Baldoni responded with a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and the New York Times.
A judge later dismissed his case, while Lively agreed to settle most of her claims after they were dismissed.
Lively later sought to recover her legal expenses, revealing in court filings that she was demanding $4.54 million from Wilkie Farr & Gallagher and $2.95 million from Manatt Phelps & Phillips.
The final bill rose to $8.3 million after an additional $300,000 in costs from a June 1 hearing, but Lively will receive just $400,000 of the $8 million she sought.
