Jake Reiner has taken his relationship to a new level with his fiancée Maria Gilfillan eight months after the brutal murder of Rob and Michele Reiner.
On Monday, August 31st, People magazine reported that the eldest son of the slain filmmaker has tied the knot in an intimate marriage ceremony with his longtime girlfriend.
Earlier this month, Jake said "I do" in a small gathering of his close pals, as the marriage took place a few months after the malicious killing of his infamous parents, leaving their youngest son behind bars.
For the unversed, Rob and Michele were found dead on December 14th last year, in their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.
Their 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was arrested the same day and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, and has been appearing in court hearings in connection with his murder.
Notably, Jake was also spotted wearing a wedding band when he first appeared for the in-depth conversation to discuss the murder of his parents for the first time.
First interview after parents' death
During the interview, Jake opened up about the shock of the killings of his parents, in connection with which his brother, Nick Reiner, was killed.
"It’s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time. And it also feels like eight minutes," Jake added.
The 35-year-old actor, writer and producer went on to explain, "Because every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality."
He also described the pain, noting, "When it's your crime scene, like a crime scene at your childhood home, [it's] like the most surreal thing I’ve ever seen."
However, he has spoken about his convicted brother, Nick, who is reportedly responsible for the killing of his parents.

He also shared a glimpse into the couple's relationship in an October 2025 Instagram post, in which the pair attended a friend’s wedding in Las Vegas.
