Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been discussing a potential return to acting as speculation grows over her next career move after U.K. return.
Previously it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly in talks for a role in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen, which would be her most significant acting project since leaving Suits.
Now the sources told PEOPLE in this week’s cover story that Meghan and Harry, 41, had been discussing her return to acting even before talks for The Gentlemen.
Meghan has remained involved in select screen projects, filming two seasons and a holiday special of With Love, Meghan, which premiered in 2025, as well as a cameo in Close Personal Friends.
The U.K.-set series features Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Giancarlo Esposito and films in Britain.
Netflix announced its third-season renewal on August 24, with scripts reportedly nearing completion.

On August 19, PEOPLE revealed that the Sussexes planned to relocate to Britain for an extended stay, setting up a private home in England as their children prepare to start school in September.
A week later, the outlet confirmed that the family had arrived back on U.K. soil, landing in Birmingham after flying privately from California.
Meghan and Prince Harry signed a Netflix deal in 2020 through Archewell Productions and extended their creative partnership in 2025 with a multi-year first-look agreement for film and TV projects.
The couple’s 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan became one of Netflix’s most-watched documentary debuts, and the pair also produced Live to Lead (2022), Heart of Invictus (2023) and Polo (2024).
Meghan also starred in two seasons and a holiday special of her Netflix lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
The mother-of-two was filming Suits in Toronto when she met Prince Harry in 2016, leaving the show ahead of their 2018 wedding.
Even after stepping down from royal duties in 2020, she said in 2022 that she had no plans to return to acting.
