Florence Pugh has reportedly amassed a major fortune as speculation mounts that she could take on the iconic role of Miss Moneypenny in a Bond spin-off.
Accounts for The Oppenheimer starlet company, Flo Pug, show it made £6 million in profit last year, with weekly takings of £116,000 bringing its total earnings to £9.9 million.
Florence, 30, has £10.8 million in the company before expenses and is set to star in several major films this year, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part Three and East of Eden.
She is also tipped to star in Prime Video’s The Moneypenny Diaries after Amazon acquired the rights to the 007 franchise.
The series is reportedly based on Samantha Weinberg’s The Moneypenny Diaries books, written under the pseudonym Kate Westbrook and published from 2005 to 2008.
Florence Pugh plans break from acting
Her string of successes follows Pugh’s admission that she needs time to “stop and recharge” and may take a break from acting.
She told Elle Spain last month that she felt a break would help her career long-term, adding, Taking care of myself. It's that simple. Being able to breathe. For a long time, I've said I needed to slow down, but the truth is I never did.”
Pugh added, “In the end, I was burning myself out. Now I'm dedicating more time to my family and friends.”
She mentioned, “I need to recharge to keep tackling such demanding roles. So for me, success is having learned to stop.”
Pugh raised eyebrows in February when she was photographed wearing a ring at Dracula at the Noel Coward Theatre, prompting engagement rumors with Finn Cole.
Pugh and Finn Cole, who have known each other for years, sparked romance rumors in September 2024 after leaving a London after-party for Netflix’s The Perfect Couple together.
The pair have kept their relationship private, but a source later said they were planning to wed.
