Pricing and colours
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is available at $1,299, which is $100 as compared to its predecessor. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will be accessible for pre-order from September 12, ahead of their September 18 launch.
The new Pro Max is available in tantalising hues, including burgundy, black, silver and glacier blue. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is accessible in silver, deep blue and cosmic orange.
Display and design
Apple’s both flagship models entail a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display and an aluminium body.
In terms of weight, the recently introduced iPhone 18 Pro Max is comparatively heavier than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, as 18 Pro Max 8.78 ounces, while its predecessor weighs 8.22 ounces.
Camera
In terms of camera capabilities, the flagship iPhone 18 Pro Max consists of a 48MP Pro Fusion camera system, adds a physical variable aperture to its main camera, offering greater control over lighting and depth of field.
The Cupertino-based tech giant added a smart focus tracking, enhanced low-light video and new Pro Controls, cinematic video effects, to adjust settings like aperture, shutter speed and white balance.
Battery and Dynamic Island
In terms of battery performance, Apple stated the iPhone 18 Pro Max comes with its biggest battery-life increase yet, with up to 45 hours of video playback, six hours more than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Dynamic Island is also smaller, enabling Apple to add a third activity display to the feature.
A20 Pro chip
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, designed to enhance performance and support AI features such as the updated Siri. A redesigned vapor chamber also helps with heat management.j
