Amid years-long anticipation and excitement, Netflix has dropped the first logo of Greta Gerwig's The Chronicles of Narnia, fuelling buzz around the adaptation.
'Narnia: The Magician's Nephew' first-ever logo
On Wednesday, September 16, Netflix gave fans a glimpse into the magical wardrobe as they continued to tease the upcoming fantasy epic, titled Narnia: The Magician's Nephew.
Turning to its social media platforms, the streaming giant shared a brand-new animated logo, alongside a scenic behind-the-scenes click of Greta Gerwig on set.
In the snap, the director-writer could be seen bundled up in a coat, watching the scene next to an ARRI film camera.
"Experience the creation of NARNIA, as filmmaker Greta Gerwig brings to life C. S. Lewis’s beloved story THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW for the first time," read the caption of the post.

Narnia: The Magician's Nephew stars David McKenna as Digory Kirke and Beatrice Campbell as Polly Plummer, who, in the books, have a significant link to Narnia's origins.

Besides the leading pair, the cast also includes Carrey Mulligan as Mabel Kirke, Digory's mother; Daniel Craig as Andrew Ketterly, Digory's uncle; Emma Mackey as Jadis, the last Queen of Charn; Tom Bonington as Mr. Potts, and Ava Jager as Violet Plummer, Polly's sister.
In addition, multiple actors have been cast in undisclosed roles, including Ciarán Hinds, Meryl Streep, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Denise Gough, Susan Wokoma, Gerard Monaco, James Murray, and Samantha Spiro.
The movie is one of two Narnia movies Greta Gerwig signed on to make for Netflix, with no word yet on which book the second film will be adapting from.
Filming for the movie began in August 2025 and wrapped in January 2026.
'Narnia: The Magician's Nephew' release strategy
The film will be Netflix's first wide theatrical release, arriving on IMAX on February 10, 2027, before a worldwide expansion on February 12.
It will be available to stream on the platform starting April 2, 2027.
