Kim Kardashian has scored a major win amid her new competition with Meghan Markle over Princess Diana's revenge dress.

The SKIMS founder has recently entered the race to purchase the iconic outfit, which once made headlines due to the deeply emotional reason behind it.

Though the competition began after the "revenge dress" was set for auction at Sotheby's in New York City, Kim has won an unexpected long-running legal battle with a major win.

On Tuesday, September 15th, a Paris court awarded the second-eldest daughter of Kris Jenner the nominal sum, exactly the amount which she had previously requested (€ 1; £0.86 or $1.15) in damages from some of those convicted over the 2016 robbery.

For those unversed, Kim Kardashian has been battling legally after she experienced what she called "the most traumatic" incident of her life, back in October 2016.

The popular television actress attended Paris Fashion Week nearly 10 years ago, and during her high-profile visit to Italy, she was staying at a private hotel, where robbers stole her jewellery and assets at gunpoint and tied her up inside her hotel's suite. 

After several trials and court hearings, she finally received damages, but most of her stolen jewelry had never been recovered.

Breaking her silence after Tuesday's ruling, Kim expressed gratitude and showed complete faith in the French justice system for prioritizing accountability and recognition.

A royal competition 

This update came a few days after an insider revealed that Meghan Markle could face some serious competition in purchasing her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana's revenge dress.

Notably, the tipster revealed that Kim Kardashian is among several high-profile names determined to own the famous gown.

With its royal history and emotional significance, the upcoming sale could become a closely watched battle.

The Duchess of Sussex – who has returned to the United Kingdom after six years has also encouraged her husband, Prince Harry, to bid on the gown.

Well, Kim Kardashian has won her Paris robbery trial; it is not clear whether she will successfully purchase the royal competition.
