Philadelphia police say five women linked to a home in the city’s Olney neighborhood appear dead or unconscious in recovered photos and videos. No bodies have been found yet.
The case began in June 2026 when officers stopped 44-year-old Eugene Horsch in an illegally parked car. They found drugs, guns and fake police badges. A woman with him carried an ID belonging to missing woman Blair Tonzelli.
Search of the Chew Avenue house reveals shocking evidence
Officers searched the house on the 400 block of West Chew Avenue. They found more weapons, a marijuana grow operation, chemicals and five urns holding cremated remains.
Some remains belong to Horsch’s late father and relatives. Two urns remain unidentified. Investigators also seized more than one million digital images and videos from hard drives and devices inside the home.
Videos show women appearing lifeless
Police have identified 58 people in the files so far. Five women look lifeless or badly injured in some of the material. Among them were Gabrielle Amarando, missing since 2012, and Maribel Fresses, last seen in 2018.
Images dated 2017 show both women lying unconscious with injuries. Later photos suggest they were no longer alive. Another video from 2017 shows Horsch’s late father, Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, with a woman believed to be Nicole Fusaro. She was handcuffed to a bed, given drugs and money, then had a zip tie placed around her neck until she became unconscious.
More missing women tied to the home
Amy McHale, Raymond Horsch’s former wife who disappeared in 2016, was last seen at the house according to her family. Blair Tonzelli vanished in 2023.
Police say five of the women connected to the property are feared dead, while two others remain missing. The FBI is helping review the huge amount of digital evidence. So far only about 30 percent has been examined.
Investigation continues
Eugene Horsch faces federal charges related to weapons and fake credentials. His father, a former photographer who created explicit material, died in 2025. Police stress there is no current threat to the public. They continue searching for the missing women and asking anyone with information to come forward. The probe remains active as more files are analyzed.
