Bobb'e J. Thompson has been handed a 30-month sentence after being convicted of possession of a stolen firearm.
On Wednesday, September 16, the US Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Iowa announced in a news release that the former child star from Kansas City, Missouri, will be imprisoned in federal prison for more than two years.

Thompson, 30, was pulled over by law enforcement officers after they observed him driving a vehicle at 104 mph in a 70 mph zone in Cerro Gordo County on September 22, 2025.

During the traffic stop, an officer saw Thompson switch seats with the passenger and noticed the "odor of marijuana" emitting from the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle, officers then found a backpack belonging to Thompson.
It contained multiple bags of dispensary-bought marijuana, a .40 caliber handgun that was fully loaded with a 15-round magazine, and a round in the chamber.
According to the US Attorney's Office, the firearm had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Kansas City, and Thompson pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon on April 28, 2026.
United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand sentenced him to 30 months’ imprisonment, followed by a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
Bobb's J. Thompson's past brushes with authorities
The actor, best known for playing Stanley in 10 episodes of That's So Raven, has a criminal history, including a 2020 conviction for battery with serious bodily injury and a 2020 conviction for assault with force (possibly resulting in great bodily injury).
He was previously convicted of prohibited possession of a firearm in 2022.
