Meghan Markle made a very strategic choice to avoid ruining her "first public moment" in the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex - who returned to the UK only last month with Prince Harry, and kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, did not join the Duke at his first major public event in Britain.
On Thursday, September 17, Harry attended the "first-ever" Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards powered by ATCO, but, Meghan did not join her beloved husband at the star-studded event due to very understandable reasons.
As per inside sources, Meghan - who has always been the target of extreme negative coverage by the British media, believes she should be really thoughtful about her first public appearance in the UK.
A source told Rob Shuter that “Meghan is taking this incredibly slowly.”
They went on to explain “She hasn’t forgotten how brutal things became the last time she lived here. Before she steps in front of British cameras again, she needs to feel completely comfortable being back.”
According to the insiders, the Duchess is purposely keeping a very low profile since returning to the UK as she is aware that "Her first appearance will be photographed, dissected and debated around the world.”
“She knows the stakes and isn’t rushing anything” added the source.
Knowing that her first official public appearance will hit global headlines, Meghan wants to make it outstanding.
“She only gets one comeback,” claimed another source, adding, “Why waste it? If Meghan can control the timing, she’d rather step out when the Sussexes have something important to announce or promote.”
