Salesforce, a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, whose services on Wednesday are severely hit by an outage, with customers facing delays, inability to access select services and intermittent errors.

As per SaaS vendor's status page, the service disruption was hit on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at nearly 3:50 am Eastern Daylight Time.

The outage hit hundreds of instances throughout the world, including the USA, Japan, India, the UK, France, and Germany.

Notably, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform officially addressed the issue, acknowledging customers regarding severe delays and inaccessibility of multiple services.

It is pertinent to mention Salesforce has a prominent clientele, which includes Amazon, Walmart, Coca-Cola, Toyota, and IBM, and its outage may also impact the relying platforms, causing widespread disruption of many services simultaneously.

CRM giant stated its probe indicated that "requests are stalling while waiting on a response from an internal login service, which is using up available server resources."

"Customers continue to experience severe delays, intermittent errors, and inability to access some services. This also affects support case creation," the vendor added.
