King Charles made a special gesture for Prince Harry, while Kate Middleton and Prince William remain distant with the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle.
Harry marked his 42nd birthday on September 15 with a heartfelt wish from the Duchess on her official Instagram account.
While Harry did not receive any public wish from his father or any other member of the Royal Family, insiders are claiming that the 77-year-old monarch had extended a sweet wish to his son on Duke's special day.
“The King reached out because Harry is still his son, and Charles wasn’t going to let a birthday pass without acknowledging that,” a source told Rob Shuter.
Per the insider, other members of the Royal Family, including Harry's aunt, Princess Anne, uncle Prince Edward and cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also sent birthday wishes.
“Harry heard from more royals than people would expect, including his father,” noted the source.
“Other relatives felt the same. Nobody wanted to turn Harry’s birthday into another royal battlefield” they added.
However, another insider claimed that Harry did not receive any wish from Prince William and Kate Middleton.
“Nothing. No call, no text, no private message. Not a word” noted the source.
