In a conversation with Mail on Sunday, the 62-year-old grieving brother called the palace’s fiery response "below-the-belt."
"It is not every day you wake up to find you’ve been gaslit by the King," he continued, accusing Prince William and Prince Harry’s father, noting, "It was astonishingly provocative and below the belt because it was essentially trying to say I’d lied without the King being able to deny what I’d said."
Earl Spencer also hinted that the response is similar to the late Queen Elizabeth II’s reaction towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they appeared in Oprah Winfrey’s interview in 2021.
