Elliot Graham has passed away at the age of 50.
The Oscar-nominated film editor's devastating death was announced on Saturday, September 19th, by the 2008 film Milk's co-producer, Dan Jinks.
In his tribute on Facebook, the infamous producer lamented the loss of his close pal, as he wrote, "The movie ‘MILK’ wouldn’t have come together in the way it did without the amazing work of our editor Elliot Graham."
"He was nominated for an Oscar for his role. I learned last night that he took his life over the weekend," he revealed.
Dan additionally noted, "I have so many thoughts and feelings about this sweet, kind and quirky man. For now, I’ll just say rest in peace, Elliot."

In a new report, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner confirmed Graham's cause and date of death, confirming that he attempted suicide.

For the unversed, the biopic Milk released in 2008, directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Dustin Lance Black, starred Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California.
At the time, the film also earned notable Oscar nominations and has scored eight accolades, including best picture and won for best actor and original screenplay.
Apart from Milk, the late producer also worked alongside Van Sant for their forthcoming movie, Restless, which premiered in 2011, starring Mia Wasikowska.
He also won a BAFTA award for editing the James Bond film No Time to Die, which was premiered in 2021, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, in what would be the film editor’s final credit.
So far, it has not been disclosed why the filmmaker took his life, as the matter is under investigation.
Elliot Graham's family has yet to announce the details of his mass funeral.
