James Hetfield isn’t in favor of bringing political agendas to a place of enjoyment.

During his band Metallica’s Las Vegas Sphere residency over the weekend, the heavy metal frontman took a moment out to express gratitude to fans for travelling all the way to see them perform.

While interacting, Hetfield made sure to make one thing very clear, “no agendas” at Metallica show.

“Unless you live in Vegas, you’ve come a long way to spend some time with Metallica. We're grateful for that — your travels, the money you spend, the time it took, thanks for coming to celebrate with us,” he said.

The 63-year-old American musician added, “And I just gotta say: Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullsh–.”

Hetfield emphasized that he and his band want the audience to leave their worries outside the door and focus on enjoying their time at the show.

“We are here to forget about all the outside sh–. Metallica’s agenda is love, energy and heavy music, baby!” said the Nothing Else Matters crooner.

It is worth mentioning that James Hetfield did not mention the names of any specific artist, leaving his comments open to interpretations.

However, his comments come after recent instances when some artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran and Macklemore attracted attention for the political views.

While Springsteen has long been taking aim at President Donald Trump with anti-Trump rants, Sheeran and Macklemore recently came into the spotlight over their opposing views on Palestine.
