The duo, who recently sparked dating buzz by being spotted together on multiple outings, have reportedly been spending more time together and connecting over their sense of humor.
However, they are not yet ready to go official with their romance, told a source to PEOPLE.
“They have been out on dates that people don’t know about because there aren’t any photos,” the insider shared, adding that the 36-year-old rapper and the 37-year-old actress are in the “dating phase” but “aren’t ready to go official yet.”
The tipster continued to share, “They both really like each other and have been seeing each other more frequently. They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet, but they’re growing closer every time they hang out.”
Furthermore, the source told that over the past few months, MGK and the Verity star have connected over their “same dry and dark sense of humor,” noting that they “make each other laugh.”

On Friday, October 16, Entertainment Tonight posted a carousel of photos on Instagram, revealing that the Madame Web actress was spotted waiting outside MGK's recording studio in Los Angeles, fueling speculation that the pair have grown closer.
According to the update, after the rapper’s studio session, the rumored couple went to Johnson’s home where he stayed until the morning.
“Dakota Johnson did say musicians like her... and she likes musicians. Dakota was spotted in L.A. waiting for MGK outside the studio following his session, before the two left together in his Maserati. (He even opened the door for her!) And we’re told his car was still at Dakota’s house the next morning,” stated the caption.
The rumored couple first sparked dating buzz mid-September 2026, when they were seen arriving together in a black SUV at Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment in New York City.
