Barbara Palvin has opened up about returning to the Victoria’s Secret runway just six weeks after giving birth.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE backstage at the Los Angeles show on Sunday, October 18, the Victoria’s Secret model said returning to the iconic runway felt “empowering” after welcoming her daughter.

“I’m going to be six weeks postpartum tomorrow, which I think in the U.S. most people have to go back after six weeks. So it’s not that big of a deal,” Palvin shared.

She went on to share, “I’m feeling great. I think it’s very empowering that the Victoria’s Secret team is having me at the show and we’re supporting women.”

The model told the outlet backstage at the show that motherhood has been a “fun” ride so far.

“It’s been a ride, like a fun one, but also scary. It’s like a roller coaster, I guess,” she said.

Palvin also shared that her husband, Dylan Sprouse has naturally embraced his role as a “girl dad” to their baby daughter.

“Dylan’s great. He always wanted to be a dad, and I think he’s amazing as a girl dad,” she noted.

Palvin revealed, “I think he was meant to be a girl dad. He didn’t know it before, but he was meant to be one.”

She said of the new dad, “He’s stepping into the role. We’re both learning. It’s a big adjustment. We’re trying our best.”

To note, the remarks came after Palvin walked the Victoria’s Secret runway on Sunday in a romantic sheer pink negligee adorned with script lettering, completing the look with a voluminous blowout and rosy makeup.
