The possibility of reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William has shattered all hopes with Meghan Markle's new strategy.
As the reunion of the estranged brothers is already in jeopardy, the Duchess of Sussex's latest hiring is reportedly a final nail in the coffin.
The Suits alum has seemingly hired the ex-staffer, Beth Herlihy, who previously worked for William and Kate Middleton, for her first joint outing in the United Kingdom in six years last Thursday, October 15th, 2026.
During their appearance, the former Kensington Palace aide is seen walking beside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they greeted well-wishers.
She was observed quietly collecting bouquets and balloons that members of the public had presented to the couple during the walkabout.
Who is Beth Herlihy?
For the unfamiliar, the former Hollyoaks actress previously worked for the royal family and led the events team at the Royal Foundation, which was at the time the joint charitable arm for the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Sussexes.
After Harry and Meghan split from Prince William and Catherine's Foundation in 2018, she stayed on with the Sussexes and is now their programme coordinator.
Beth Herlihy also has a television past, as she had a long association with the camera, like Meghan Markle.
Before having royal connections, she pursued a career in front of the camera under the stage name Bethan Coundley.
Her acting credits included a role as a stripper in the long-running Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, a part that has resurfaced in media coverage each time her name appears in connection with the Sussexes.
Beth Herlihy's first interaction with Harry and Meghan was highlighted back in February 2024, when she accompanied them to Whistler, Canada, for events linked to the Vancouver 2025 Invictus Games.
Well, the new programme coordinator's position may have shaken William and Kate Middleton, as the royal couple, who have remained mum since the Duke of Sussex's UK return, have not reacted to his new move.
