Prince Harry has formally cut ties with his native country, United Kingdom, by updating records to clarify that he no longer lives there.
As claimed by Daily Mail, Britain’s government agency called Companies House has published filings for “Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex,” which have recorded that his new country is now the United Sates of America.
Previously, Britain was registered in the said field.
The update has been made following an increased pressure on President Joe Biden to make Harry’s visa records public after American ambassador to London, Jane Hartley, had stated that the Duke of Sussex will not be deported as long as the current government remains in charge.
It seems that Harry contemplated the problem of another democrat chucking him out of USA after coming in control of the country, then decided that showing where his loyalty stays now would solve the issue.
This however raises the question whether he can continue being a Counsellor of State back in the UK, i.e. being recognized as one of the seven Royal Family members who can fill in for the Monarch, King Charles, in his absence.
Just four years ago, Harry stated at a charity event, “The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change,” but following ongoing feuds within his family, it seems that much has changed after all.
