Meghan Markle has managed to land herself the title of the people’s princess after her recent trip to Nigeria with husband Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the African country in what was dubbed an ‘unofficial royal tour’, where Meghan was honoured with a special royal title.
After landing in the country on Friday, May 10, Harry and Meghan engaged in several high-profile public events and made multiple public appearances, meeting and greeting adoring crowds and making quite the impression!
Now, Mirror UK has reported that Meghan managed to please Nigerians so much that she was bestowed with the ceremonial title of ‘Ada Mazi’, a title of respect given to a ‘daughter of an aristocrat’ from the Ancient Arochukwu Kingdom.
As per reports, three Kings took part in the special ceremony; His Eminence Engr Eberechukwu Oji, Eze Aro of Ancient Arochukwu Kingdom, Igwe Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, and Great Olu of Warri Kingdom.
It is pertinent to note that Meghan Markle earlier revealed in 2022 that a genealogy test showed her that she is 43% Nigerian.
