Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly facing fresh uncertainty over their attendance at Royal Ascot.
King Charles has reportedly invited Beatrice and Eugenie to this year’s Royal Ascot, months after claims they were barred over concerns linked to their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson's ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
As reported by HELLO! senior royals have kept checking on them, but a friend questioned if they’d want to attend an event of that scale.
"The question is, would they want to go to a public event of that nature? They will get criticism whether they go or not, and not just that event. They just can't win," the friend claimed.
It was confirmed earlier this week that Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, will skip the Royal Family’s Easter gathering on April 5, with the arrangement agreed upon by their uncle.
Palace aides confirmed the pair remain welcome at future family events.
Last June, the sisters attended Ascot with their husbands and were seen speaking with the King, while their mother Sarah Ferguson was also present.
Both parents were later named in US Justice Department documents tied to the Epstein investigation.
