A major blunder engulfed the wedding date announcement of Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, and Harriet Sperling.

In a previous statement, it was reported that the royal wedding is set to take place on "Saturday, July 6th, 2026"; however, July 6th falls on a Monday, causing confusion about the ceremony date.

A statement rectifying the mistake has been issued, which revealed that the wedding will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Peter and Harriet are set to exchange vows at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, in a private affair.

Senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, have been informed about the wedding date.

The corrected press statement noted, "Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date."

It added, "The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, on Saturday 6th June 2026 in a private ceremony."

The Princess Royal's son, who announced his engagement to mother-of-one in August, was previously married to Autumn Kelly, with whom he shares two daughters, Isla and Savannah.
