Blake Lively reveals her creative anchor for 'It Ends With Us'

The 'Gossip Girl' star shared that her character in 'It Ends With Us' resonated with her real-life passion


Blake Lively takes a moment to share how her passion for floristry has served as a vital creative anchor in her life ahead of It Ends With Us release.

Taking to he Instagram, the Gossip Girl star shared how arranging flowers has provided her with a unique blend of creative fulfillment and inner peace.

Lively shared a carousel of pictures and clips from her upcoming movie, which is based on the novel by Colleen Hoover. In these, she can be seen expressing her love of flowers.

She penned a caption, “I’ve always thought I was a florist, well before playing one. I buy corner store flowers, take them home, reassemble them & give them new life.”

The Green Lantern star added, ‘Ever since I moved to the city at 19, that’s been one of my creative and meditative anchors. It’s design, it’s interacting with nature, it’s a multi sensory joy.”


Lively continued, “Whenever I get the opportunity to garden from scratch and assemble fresh arrangements, I feel like the luckiest person on the planet. It’s straight up peace. No there’s no joke coming. Just me being earnest about flowers. Ugh pure sincerity. I hate it here”

Describing her the last two footage from the carousel, she noted, “Last couple slides are when I got to arrange flowers for @itendswithusmovie press with @isabela.ferrer it’s neat to see our personalities come through in the flowers.”

Lively added, “This is why I love this stuff. All the ways you learn about people when you watch them create in different mediums fascinates me. We were rushing, but I’m a proud peacock over our arrangements!”

To note, Blake Lively will star in the film adaption of Colleen Hoover's It Ends with Us alongside actor Justin Baldoni and it will set to release in theaters on August 9, 2024.
