In a stunning show of support, Beyoncé surprised the 2024 USA Team at the Paris Olympics with a unique honour.
The Halo singer startled millions of fans on Friday, July 26, when she presented Team USA during NBCUniversal's primetime broadcast of the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony.
In a shared video Beyoncé remixed her single YA YA from her Cowboy Carter album with the help of some of the best athletes representing the U.S.
“Hello, girls,” the Grammys winner said.
Then the women's gymnastics team members, which included Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Sunisa "Suni" Lee, responded, "Hello, Beyoncé."
The men's gymnastics team was next shown in the video, including Fred Richard, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, Asher Hong and Stephen Nedoroscik.
Beyoncé singer donned a statement kaftan featuring Olympic rings on the back and a cowgirl hat.
She had a white bodysuit underneath with the word "USA" underlined red and printed in blue across her chest.
Before concluding, The CUFF IT singer celebrated Team USA, calling them “the very best of who we are.”
Queen Bey added “What a vision to behold. What a team to believe in. What a night to celebrate.”
The official Team USA account on Instagram responds to the unexpected entrance by tagging it as "#Beylympics."
