Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex- boyfriend John Janssen has spoken out about their tumultuous relationship.
In a recent interview on the Reality with The King podcast, Janssen opened up about his relationship with Shannon.
“I wanna say that my relationship with Shannon was real. She has a wonderful side to her. But I think people out there just assume John was the problem in the relationship, and I would just challenge people to think about what it might be like to be with Shannon,” he stated.
He went on to share, “I will say that, what was it like? It was what it is like to fail every day, all day, every day to fail at everything. That's what it felt like to date her.”
Janssen, who is now dating Alexis Bellino, acknowledged that he and Beador had some good times but ultimately were not compatible.
"I tried very, very hard. I did. But we were never meant to be together," he said.
Janssen also responded to suggestions that Beador is still not over her ex-husband David Beador, whom she got divorced in 2019.
“That would be news to me.I really don't think so. I'll leave it at that. I don't think that's true,” he said.
To note, Shannon Beador confirmed her breakup with Janssen in January 2023, after more than three and a half years of dating.
