There are speculations about a major deceased character from Marvel making a comeback in the upcoming movie, Avengers: Secret Wars.
As per new leak reported by EXPRESS, the MCU's Multiverse Saga is rumoured to feature the return of a dead major Marvel superhero.
The publication noted that reliable scooper named MyTimeToShineHello shared on X account the dead character is none other Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
“I hear Tony Stark/Iron Man will return in Avengers Secret Wars,” the tweet read.
If the rumours are true, then Robert Downey Jr. Would be playing a major and notable dual role in both upcoming Avengers films as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom and his iconic Iron Man role.
Apart from Downey Jr.’s highly anticipated return, major characters confirmed to be returning in Avengers: Doomsday include Thor, played Chris Hemsworth, Captain America, played by Chris Evans, Loki played by Tom Hiddleston, and Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
Other confirmed returns include Tom Holland’s character as Spider-Man, Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, and several yet notable character from Fantastic Four and X-Men.
It’s worth mentioning here that Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars will hit theatres on December 17, 2027.
