The Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi-led romantic drama film Ek Din has been building quite an excitement with a dreamy teaser and movie tracks.

While the audiences await the highly anticipated film release, it has been revealed that Junaid's superstar father Aamir Khan wanted his son's Bollywood debut to be Ek Din.

As per a source, the 3 Idiots actor wanted Junaid to debut with a film directed by Mansoor Khan, just like his own Bollywood journey, which began with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

"He had always wished for Junaid to begin his career with a romantic film, especially after the praise Junaid received for 'Maharaj'," the insider noted.

With the film created under the Aamir Khan Productions banner, Ek Din reunited the superstar with filmmaker Mansoor after a long hiatus.

The pair have worked on numerous hit projects, including Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, and Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na.

Besides the exciting partnership, the romantic film will also mark Sai Pallavi's Bollywood big screen debut.

Helmed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit, Ek Din is set to hit theatres on May 1.
