Shah Rukh Khan was recently bashed over his son Aryan Khan’s directional debut Netflix series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
As reported by The Indian Express, Viveck Vaswani, an Indian journalist on his YouTube channel, raised eyebrows over SRK’s son’s broad portrayal of Bollywood in the satirical series.
Claiming that he and the 60-year-old star had a close bond, the journalist shared that he and his family members used to treat Khan like a king in house back in the days and his family members looked after him.
“We used to eat dinner together, watch films together, and often go on sets together,” the journalist claimed.
Despite the past bond, Vaswani pointed out that the Pathaan actor himself came into the industry with a golden spoon, so why does he think Bollywood is a bad industry?
He went on to question the show’s broad portrayal, saying, “Why paint everyone black? There are decent people in the industry.”
“If you are making something called The Ba***ds of Bollywood and want to show the darker side, that’s fair, but let there be a Yash Chopra, who has been decent.”
Viveck Vaswani also named Yash Johar who have always helped people, adding that let there be good people too.
It’s worth mentioning here that Shah Rukh Khan backed his son Aryan Khan's directorial debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood and even made a cameo appearance.
The series, released in September 2025, is a self-aware satire specifically aimed at the Hindi film industry.
