With his latest Instagram post on Wednesday, April 1, Rajkummar Rao ignited a frenzy among fans by announcing that he has kicked off filming for a thrilling new movie.
The exciting announcement revealed that the production for Rao's upcoming film, based on the life of the legendary Indian former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, has finally begun the shoot.
In the post, the Stree star also revealed the title for the anticipated movie; Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story.
"And it begins... the one and only Dada," the actor captioned the post.
The eagerly awaited movie is set to focus on the life of Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, also known as Dada, an Indian cricket administrator and former cricketer and captain of the Indian national cricket team.

In February 2026, Rajkummar Rao left fans concerned over his weight gain and altered hairstyle at an event.
However, the Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana actor explained that the look was a result of his intense preparation for back-to-back roles.
For his another film, Nikam, Rao had to gain significant amount of weight, and now, to portray Sourav Ganguly, the film star has once again undergone a major physical transformation.
