Crown Princess Mette-Marit celebrated her 53rd birthday with a special tribute from family amid recovery from lung transplant.
On Wednesday, August 19, the Norwegian royal family released a never-before-seen family portrait featuring Princess Mette-Marit and Prince Haakon with their son Prince Sverre Magnus and daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
However, Crown Princess's son Marius Borg Høiby - whom she shares with her former partner, Morten Borg, was not featured in the family photo.
Alongside the new portrait was a heartfelt caption that read, "Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who turns 53 today!"
As per the caption - the photo was clicked earlier this year by The Royal Court.
For the uversed, in June, the stepson of Prince Haakon of Norway, Marius Borg Høiby, was sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape.
The disgraced son of the Crown Princess was also convicted of over 30 other offenses, including domestic abuse and assault.
The 29-year-old – who has been pursuing an appeal against his conviction is currently in prison.
Soon after Royal family shared birthday tribute for the crown Princess – who is currently in recovery from her recent lung transplant, fans flooded the comment section with heartfelt wishes.
