Mindy Kaling's Not Suitable For Work has been cancelled by Hulu after the first season.
This is the latest YA series being axed by the streamer, which also cancelled Buffy: New Sunnydale, Don't Get High, and Foster Dade.
Not Suitable For Work cancellation leaves fans heartbroken, as multiple storylines were still up in the air in the series that follows a group of professionally driven and romantically tangled quintet.
About 'NSFW'
The series stars Ella Hunt as AJ, an investment banker from Boston, who moves to New York for a new job and begins living with her best friend, aspiring celebrity stylist Abby (played by Avantika).
AJ and Abby live across the hall from male best friends Davis (Will Angus), who is AJ's co-worker and has a crush on her; nepo-baby/young journalist Josh (Jack Martin); and aspiring actor/med school dropout Kel (Nicholas Duvernay).
The two-episode finale of the show ended on a mega cliffhanger, as all five characters found themselves involved in love triangles (AJ, Josh & Davis), (Abby, Kel & Kel's theater colleague), with Davis and AJ's employment also in limbo after they stood up to their arrogant boss Bill (Jay Ellis).

Reacting to the shocking news, fans turned to social media platforms, expressing their frustration, as one X post read, "NOOOO WHAT. ON THAT CLIFFHANGER."
"WHAT THE F--K??? ARE THEY STUPID? This was one of the best most heart warming comedies in years!!! There was so much more story to tell," a second post added.
A third user noted, "cancelling shows after only one season should be banned."
"They don't even let shows find their footing anymore. i hate streaming," a fourth fan highlighted.
The Warner Bros. TV-produced ensemble comedy, whose original title "Murray Hill" was changed by Hulu made relatively high buzz on the internet with a stunning cast and their headline-making chemistry with each other.
The series, which Kaling executive produced with showrunner Charlie Grandy and 3 Arts Entertainment's Howard Klein, launched in June and ran for nine episodes.
Not Suitable For Work completed Kaling's trilogy loosely based on her life, which started with Never Have I Ever, which tells the story of the teen experience, continued through college with The Sex Lives Of College Girls, and ended with post-college life in New York on NSFW.
