Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch, best known as Luna Lovegood, has married French gardener Denis Skinner in a London wedding after consulting an astrologer to choose their special date.
The couple tied the knot in London as they were joined by 20 of their closest family and friends for the ceremony at Islington Town Hall.
Evanna looked elegant in a vintage puffball skirt and bespoke Moira Hughes corset from Ellie Sanderson.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Wilton’s Music Hall, where they danced to a swing band and enjoyed vegan cake.
Evanna met Denis at a Camden bar in 2021, where he was working as a barman, and she kept returning hoping their connection would develop.
Denis made the first move by handing Evanna a handwritten note bearing his number, and they became engaged in 2023 after a heated argument.
Evanna told Vogue, “It was 2023, and we had a big argument. It felt like a break-up argument. Like the, break-up argument.”
She admitted it was a “terrible way to get engaged.”
Denis reproposed at her cousin’s allotment, prompting Evanna to consult an astrologer about the ideal date for their wedding.
She said, “Her thing was to avoid the solar eclipse. I can totally see why. Lots of my friends have been sick, or a family member has died – it's been very dramatic.”
The My Name Is Emily star stated, “When we started the wedding planning process, I was a bit disparaging of it all. It's so over the top. It's so lavish. But, as we've gotten closer to it, I've realised how unique and special it is.”
Evanna married Denis on August 21 and marked the occasion with an unusual gift — a charm necklace featuring his dog’s tooth.
She previously had a secret nine-year relationship with her Harry Potter co-star Robbie Jarvis, who played a young version of Harry's dad, James Potter.
They split in 2016, after which she had a brief romance with singer-songwriter AnDel in 2017.
