Comedian Carrot Top has been hospitalized in Las Vegas following a reported suicide attempt, with his representative confirming that he is recovering and receiving care.
As per TMZ, a source shared that the comedian and longtime Las Vegas performer, who's real name is Scott Thompson, attempted suicide on Friday in the Vegas area and was rushed to a local hospital.
CT's rep Jami Schlicher told the outlet, "Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy."
Carrot Top is still in hospital and recovering, according to the latest confirmed update, while his representative has not disclosed additional details about his condition.
Following news of his hospitalization, fans turned to Thompson’s Instagram, leaving supportive messages on his recent posts.
One fan noted, “We love you brotha' You're an absolute legend. We're all in this together. Prayers your way.”

Luxor’s official website lists the performance as the Carrot Top comedy residency, starring Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson.
It is reported that ticket listings had scheduled a Carrot Top performance at the Luxor’s Atrium Showroom for September 18, followed by additional dates.
The September 18 show was canceled after his hospitalization.
Thompson’s representative has asked fans to give the comedian privacy as he continues receiving medical treatment.
