Asha Bhosle’s first birth anniversary since her passing is set to bring an emotional surprise.
On Wednesday, August 26, Hindustan Times reported that the Yeh Vaada Raha singer’s first birth anniversary, set to take place on September 8, 2026, will be marked with the release of her last recorded film song as a playback singer.
The legendary singer died at the age of 92 on April 12, 2026, due to multi-organ failure after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Her upcoming track, titled Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan, is set to be featured in the upcoming comedy-drama movie Hari Ka Om.
Anshuman Jha, who leads the forthcoming film, expressed that having Bhosle’s voice in his project is “deeply special” to him.
“Hari Ka Om is deeply special to me because, at its heart, it is about the importance of saying ‘I love you’ to your father, something I never got the chance to do. To have Asha Ji’s voice carry the song that represents the catharsis of the film is one of the most profound and memorable moments of my life as an artist,” he said.
The Mastram actor continued, “Being in the studio with her was pure joy and contentment. I only wish she were here in person to celebrate this moment with us. But I know she is always with us—in spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch.”
Moreover, Hari Ka Om’s director Harish Vyas stated, “Launching the song on her birthday is intended as a celebration of Asha Ji’s timeless voice, her immense legacy and the generations of listeners whose lives her music has touched.”
