Ranveer Singh has made rare remarks about his career's "rough patch" after abruptly exit Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film, Don 3.
The Dil Dhadkne Do actor spoke about the challenges he faced in his latest appearance at Reliance's documentary Parvah Hai Toh Parivar Hai.
The documentary released on August 20th, Singh said the support he received while some of his films weren’t performing well made the faith placed in him for the ambitious action franchise particularly significant.
"Dhurandhar was not an easy film to mount; it was not an easy film to execute. There were several challenges," he added.
The Band Baaja Baaraat actor continued acknowledging that putting Dhurandhar together was anything but straightforward.
"To go all in with conviction, believing that if this works out, we will be breaking new ground," he gushed.
Without naming individual films, Singh revealed that his career had gone through its share of setbacks before Dhurandhar turned things around.

These remarks came a few months after Farhan Akhtar and his production house, Excel Entertainment, accused Ranveer Singh of causing massive financial losses by making an abrupt, last-minute exit from Don 3 right before the scheduled overseas shooting.
The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor filed a formal industry complaint demanding ₹45 crore (approx. $5.4 million) from Singh. Akhtar claims this money was already spent on advanced pre-production, logistics, and contracting 120 crew members based on Singh’s commitment.
Despite being publicly dragged into the controversy, Ranveer Singh chose to remain silent over the drama, as he is set to welcome his child with his life partner, Deepika Padukone.
The couple announced their second pregnancy on April 19th, 2026, with a heartfelt post on Instagram.
