Ajay Devgn is mourning the loss of the legendary Indian director, Kuku Kohli.
The legendary filmmaker passed away at the age of 77 on Monday, August 25, after being hospitalised at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani.
After the news of his passing broke on the internet, Ajay turned to his X account to scribble a note to remember the legendary director.
"Some people change the course of your life forever. Kuku ji was one of those people for me. Forever grateful for the faith you had in me. You will be deeply missed, Kuku ji. Om Shanti," Ajay lamented.
For those unaware, Kuku Kohli launched Ajay's Bollywood career with the 1991 film, Phool Aur Kaante, saying the director changed his course of life.

The late Indian artist, whose real name is Avtar Kohli, has worked under legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor and other directors before making his directorial debut with Phool Aur Kaante.
Notably, the film established Ajay as an action star, as in the movie, the actor had made an entry by performing a split between two moving motorcycles.
Kuku Kohli, who is also the husband of veteran actress Aruna Irani, has directed movies, including Kohrram, Suhaag, Haqeeqat, Anari No.1, Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa and Woh Tera Naam Tha.
About Kuku Kohli and Aruna Irani's marriage
He was survived by his two children, Pooja Kohli and Karishma Kohli, from his previous marriage.
However, Kuku did not have any children from his second marriage to actress Aruna Irani, with whom he tied the knot in 1990.
The funeral of the veteran filmmaker took place at the Oshiwara Crematorium in Andheri West, Mumbai, on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026.
His wife, Aruna Irani, along with Bollywood celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Rohit Shetty, attended his last rites ceremony.
