Norwegian royal family has issued a concerning update on King Harald V's health amid hospitalization.
As reported by various outlets, all members of King's family have been gathered at Oslo University Hospital, after cancelling all Royal engagements as the monarch's health has been further deteriorated.
Prince Haakon, wife, Princess Mette-Marit and Queen Sonja besides other members of the royal family are said to by Harald V's bedside after confirming that he is in an "extremely serious" condition.
This shocking development came just two days after an official update on the 89-year-old monarch’s sick leave for an extended period was issued by the Palace.
"The King is receiving antibiotics for a bacterial infection in his blood, and has responded to this treatment," read the statement issued by King Harald’s office.
"His condition is stable. His Majesty will remain at Oslo University Hospital (Rikshospitalet) and is on sick leave until further notice,” it added.
