King Charles has marked a historic milestone, as it was revealed that he is getting his first Canadian dollar bill four years after being crowned.
The Bank of Canada just announced a new vertical $20 bill, which will be the first to feature the King.
Moreover, this marks the first time in 70 years that a new monarch will appear in the $20 bill.
As per the Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem, the new $20 banknote will enter circulation early next year.
About the new vertical $20 bill
Instead of a horizontal note, the new $20 bill will be presented in a vertical format, with a central portrait of Charles circled by floral and the traditional maple leaves.

The back of the note will feature the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, a building located in France that pays tribute to Canadians who served in World War I.
In addition, the note features floral emblems that represent the 13 Canadian provinces and territories, visible from both sides.
The design was also a collaboration with the Bank of Canada's Indigenous Advisory Circle and features other plants that hold significance to Indigenous peoples.
First vertical bil
The $20 bill is the second one to be in a vertical format, with the first being the $10 note featuring civil rights pioneer Viola Desmond, which has been in circulation since 2018.
Bill featuring King Charles in New Zealand and Australia?
The Commonwealth nations of New Zealand and Australia have displayed the King on their coins, though Australia has said it will not feature him on banknotes.
Instead, Australia said it will work on releasing a new $5 banknote that pays tribute to "the culture and history" of Indigenous Australians to replace the current design featuring Queen Elizabeth II.
State visit by Oman's sultan
The exciting news came a day after Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles is set to welcome Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Windsor Castle for a state visit, which will kick off on October 20 and will end on October 22.
