The Royal Family has shared its first update since King Charles made his position on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s status clear.
The British Royal Family’s official social media account dropped a special update about Queen Camilla on Monday, shortly after King Charles sent a letter to Prince Harry’s team and senior officials.
Sharing the snippet of the Queen Consort of Britain, the palace shared, “The Queen takes to the @LettersLive stage at the Royal Festival Hall, reading a beautiful thank you letter sent by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to British poet Edith Sitwell.”

In the shared video, Camilla can be seen reading a letter aloud that was written by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in September of 1952, not long after she lost her husband of over 28 years in February that same year.
Notably, the update came shortly after King Charles has made his position on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal status clear after their U.K. return.
King Charles letter to Harry and Meghan
King revealed in a letter that Harry and Meghan will remain unable to use the “HRH” titles and are considered “private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.”
"It is well known that in January 2020 the Duke and Duchess stepped down from undertaking representative duties on behalf of the Sovereign, and are no longer working Members of the Royal Family," the letter said.
"The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both and undertaken in their private capacity," it further stated.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to Britain with their two children on August 26, for an extended stay, six years after stepping down as working royals in January 2020.
